This year has been remarkable for EMA. We are celebrating our 10th anniversary, bringing back kindergarten classes, and having another great Empower Fest with a new visual identity and the participation of The Hilltop Club athletes.
All of this and more was possible thanks to our dedicated staff, inspiring students, incredible parents, wonderful partners, and donors. We are thankful for the growth, the challenges, and the milestones we’ve achieved together.
As the holiday season approaches, we look ahead to our upcoming clinics and what’s next for the upcoming months.
End-of-Year Clinics
Our Thanksgiving and Holiday clinics, scheduled for November 20th to 22nd and December 18th to 22nd, are now open for registration.
Whether you’re a seasoned player looking to sharpen your skills or a newcomer eager to build a strong foundation in basketball, these clinics offer an ideal opportunity.
As the upcoming season approaches, it’s essential for players to get back on the court and prepare to be at their best.
Preparation and experience are the cornerstones of leadership, and these clinics are a fantastic way for students to start their journeys toward becoming a leader on and off the court.
Regarding Thanksgiving, we’ll have a generous individual for this year’s Giving Tuesday who will match gift donations up to $100,000. We will share more details and the link for our campaign in the next few weeks.
Join Us at the USF Game
We are also proud to share that Coach Gumbs and EMA will be recognized by his alma mater, the University of San Francisco (USF), during the upcoming game on November 26th, where USF men’s and women’s basketball will hold a doubleheader at the CHASE Center.
This recognition is particularly special to us as USF is where EMA’s journey began, and we are immensely grateful for the enduring partnership.

Empower Fest 2024
As we look into the new year, we’re excited to share that Empower Fest is already scheduled for 2024. Mark your calendars for August 23rd to the 25th, as we can’t wait to share another great fun weekend in an electric community event.
