ABC7 News’ Special on Basketball-A-Thon

What is a basketball-thon?

The annual Basketball-thon infused with March Madness with the NBA’s All-Star Weekend is an event every Bay Area child should experience. Players (especially those too young for 3-on-3 tournament) can also participate in side events such as a dunk contest, 3 Point Contest, and Skills Challenge.

Why?

Raise awareness and bring the entire Bay Area community together. Plus, event proceeds and silent auction will benefit Programming. EMA has used its funds to impact over 1,700 student-leaders in 9 years and offered over a half million dollars in tuition assistance to community members in need.

How?

Leaders (all genders) who sign up to participate will be able to create an account to raise funds from friends and family. TOP fundraiser student-leader (family) will WIN two Warriors tickets for the upcoming season.

Save the Date August 27th & 28th
Saturday, August 27th: 9 AM - 1 PM (Registration, Pool Play, Skills Challenge, 3-point contest)
Sunday, August 28th: 9 AM - 3:30 PM (3-on-3 tournaments, Dunk contest, Awards ceremony)

Pre-Requirement

Basketball-thon experience is for those who want to indulge in a positive experience; competitive games, spectacular side events, no coaches, free food, DJ, and so much more.
